Product Research

We conducted a thorough evaluation of existing fleet management systems, exploring global best practices in connected vehicle data platforms and fleet operations optimisation. We analysed leading industry solutions to point their strengths and weaknesses. By incorporating the latest innovations in data analytics, we seamlessly integrated advanced practices into Motorq, delivering a highly effective and user-centric experience.

User Research

We used surveys, interviews, and field studies to identify key user problems and needs. Our findings revealed a strong preference for platforms offering real-time data access, intuitive dashboards, and seamless integration with existing systems. Users expressed frustration with current solutions due to the complexity of interpreting data and the high costs and maintenance of hardware-based systems. They emphasized the need for a solution that simplifies daily operations and delivers actionable insights.

User Testing

We conducted user testing with a prototype of Motorq’s platform to validate our design decisions and gather feedback. Fleet managers and data analysts interacted with the dashboard, explored its features, and performed tasks such as monitoring vehicle performance and generating reports. Key observations showed that users valued the clean and intuitive interface but faced challenges with navigation and the depth of data visualisation. Feedback highlighted the need for better data filtering options and simpler navigation to improve usability. We revisited the design based on this feedback, resulting in successful improvements in subsequent testing.

Conclusion

Motorq’s Connected Vehicle Data Platform effectively meets the needs of fleet managers by providing a hardware-free solution that delivers actionable insights effortlessly. Through our research and user testing, we pinpointed key areas for improvement and made adjustments to enhance the overall product experience. The final platform offers a streamlined interface that simplifies data management and supports informed decision-making, aligning with user expectations and boosting overall satisfaction.
